Remember, as a child, when you would hear the Ice Cream truck playing its music, coming down the street? There was an excitement shared between you and your friends because you knew he had something everyone needed to make their day complete. You would cry out to the truck and often chase it so the truck would stop for you to get ice cream as if the driver did not know what you wanted. This reminds me of an old song that we use to sing when I was growing up in a church that says "Pass me not, O gentle Savior, Hear my humble cry; while on others Thou art calling, do not pass me by. Savior, Savior, Hear my humble cry.” Our cry comes when we reflect on how much we need our Saviors grace and mercy. It also comes when we are in the moment of a specific need or prayer to be addressed. What do you think of when you hear these words?? Think about it while digesting this Spoken Word:
The Lord is our Shepherd beyond a shadow of a doubt.
When Satan tries to trap us, God’s grace and mercy are our way out.
Now it’s up to us
To fight the lust
That tempts our spiritual existence.
Now take this example for instance.
We can turn a blind eye to our faith
Because we can choose our FREE WILL or our INHERITED GRACE.
But don’t worry, I am about to put it all into place
Once I reference the story of a blind man who cried out to share Jesus’s space.
Since Jesus was sent to help and save us
How perfect is the story of a blind man named Bartimaeus.
When he sensed Jesus was in his vicinity
“…He began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.”
Because Jesus knows all, He knew what to do for this poor soul.
After hearing the blind man’s plea for sight
He then commanded,” …go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole.”
“And immediately he received his sight…” another satisfied soul.
The Holy Spirit encompasses any/everything in our vicinity
That’s why HE IS the Omnipresent Divinity.
The bible says as blind Bartimaeus sat by the highway doing what he does everyday
He heard that Jesus was passing by
So without being shy
He cried out in a loud voice without delay.
So this next thought is simple.
So take it at face value because there’s nothing to read into.
In this moment will you choose to worship Jehovah Jireh?
If so, cry out to our Savior like Bartimaeus and don’t let this next moment pass you by.
Do you need Jesus to open your blinded eyes? If you do, cry out these familiar words "Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me" and God will do it.
