To some THAT 4 LETTER WORD has been hurtful. To some saying THAT 4 LETTER WORD has broken others down. To Some THAT 4 LETTER WORD can be…blinding. This word can help one gain insight and/or it can alter ones judgement. Either way it is a driving factor in society that touches your deepest emotions. It is the word “LOVE”. What other 4 LETTER WORD can empower the weak yet devour the strong? What other 4 LETTER WORD can give one purpose when all else is gone?
“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Yes it does. When spoken THAT 4 LETTER WORD can produce a harvest of happiness that will feed the most discouraged soul. Therefore, when it comes to LOVE we should always feed others this healthy fruit so we can in turn reciprocate its healthy harvest.
1 CORINTHIANS 13:4 (NIV)
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”
Some may even experience one of loves other variables. And that is…
Love is Blind
Sometimes it’s hard to understand,
Why society tries to regulate lifes past, present, and future plans.
But in order for us to piece together all that we see,
It takes something so simple yet at times so complicated as an analogy.
This is not to say we cannot use thought processes of our own,
But there’s times we need something we can relate to hit a little closer to home.
So as I begin this story of a blind man’s situation,
You might be able to relate it to your own trials and tribulations:
Once there was a blind man whose life was far from flawless.
He maneuvered through life bumping into things trying to do what’s best.
He was laughed at for his misfortunes, teased for his thoughts,
Ridiculed for the love he shared and bared with all his heart.
He assumed by being generous to those who did not understand his way of being,
That one day they would visualize the things he was emotionally seeing.
He was being led in a direction that many would say brings trouble,
But the force that was leading him tried to make it subtle.
Yes, the force was subtle, sweet, and gleaming,
That to the average person the force was blinding but to the blind man it was forever seeing.
So to put into perspective what he should have done from the start,
The blind man gave in and followed his heart.
Now that he has done so, he is all alone to find his way,
Tussling with life’s turmoil that we SEE every day.
Turmoil’s we take for granted he’s no longer hand in with,
But still needs that special someone/thing to love, grow with, and support his wit.
Now that the blind man is all by himself,
He has to learn to take care of his own emotional/mental health.
For the ones he love and trusted so dear,
Are now far but yet so near.
The moral of this poem may be different to understand,
If you have a closed mind then you may never comprehend,
That love is blind, an analogy for the mind to use.
So please take care of it
Because once you abuse it
Like the ball game of life you can and will lose it.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
Please understand that LOVE has many wonderful characteristics and when used in the right context, what it produces is never ending. Reference the following scriptures:
Luke 6:31, Luke 6:35, Romans 12:9, Mark 12:31
Romans 13:12, Ephesians 4:2, 1 Peter 4:8, 1 John 4:7
1 John 4:18-19, John 15:13, Ephesians 5:25, Ephesians 5:33
However, when it is used out of context, it becomes THAT 4 LETTER WORD
