A CRY FOR HELP
When you’re on a journey & become lost, would you put yourself in a healthy situation & ask for guidance to get you back on the beaten path? Or, would you enter into a questionable environment hoping & trusting the information shared with you will not mislead you but direct you to your final destination? Scripture gives us simple instruction in this matter. “Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth & teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.” Psalm 25:4-5 This may seem simple enough yet, at times, our sinful nature challenges this passage. We’ve even been taught to LEAN NOT ON OUR OWN UNDERSTANDING & ask God for wisdom. “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously & without reproach, & it will be given to him.” James 1:5 Here’s a thought to think about shared in poem/spoken word:
Taking my time to figure out my thoughts,
I begin to realize the things that are important that can’t be bought.
These things in life are simple to some and to others deceiving,
Because when it comes to rationalizing steps in the two headed demon.
Is the reason
The flesh of man basis his life on screaming.
And the reason
All those he has believing
Is because his self-esteem is that of one who despises dreaming.
Now this creature
Has certain features
And one of its features
Make one believe it’s a teacher.
Distraught souls cry out, “Teacher, teacher
I’m a strong believer
Without your presence
I’ll be stuck in emotional adolescence.”
This evil entity
Preys with parasitic sympathy
For it has no pity
For the empty hearts that crave tranquility.
It will do what it takes
To make you believe life’s mistakes
Are what you should live for
But in the process creating a spiritual war.
Now there’s a problem with this process
Because for this system to work one needs to settle for less.
But in the Christian world we live in,
Settling for this “less” is a sin.
There is reward
In using the sword (bible).
So to fight off this evil entity
Turn to my spiritual Divinity
Yes, we do have to deal with the hand that life has dealt
But we are never alone when we cry to our God for help.
